The problem is sebum levels fluctuate in human skin thus it’s either never enough or sometimes too much. If you have oily skin then your body is producing too much sebum and if you have dry skin then your body is not making enough sebum. The importance of natural oils is that since they are similar to sebum they can be used to balance sebum levels.
